Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Homebuilding, Residential construction, or Land Acquisitions.
- Knowledge of land planning and development.
- Existing relationships within the local land market.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
- Capacity to plan, organize, manage, and supervise activities of direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Contact landowners in target areas directly.
- Gather development-related information using appraisal and municipal maps.
- Maintain a tracking log of viable tracts and transactions.
- Follow municipal agendas to identify acquisition opportunities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with brokers, landowners, and municipal staff.
- Perform due diligence on zoning, utilities, surveys, and environmental reports.
- Utilize Google Earth and mapping tools for site exhibits.
- Prepare financial proformas and perform residual analyses.
- Prepare LOIs and land packages for Asset Management Committee approval.
