Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of public accounting experience supporting U.S.-based clients
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, tax regulations, audit procedures, and financial reporting standards
  • Experience with Public Taxes and Audit Procedures
  • Experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns
  • Proficiency with accounting and tax software such as QuickBooks, CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar platforms
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Availability to work within or overlap significantly with EST business hours

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, trusts, and non-profit organizations
  • Plan, execute, and document audit, review, and compilation engagements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and GAAS standards
  • Prepare financial statements, workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Conduct tax and accounting research on complex issues
  • Support CFO advisory engagements including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, KPI reporting, and month-end/year-end close processes
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Mentor and review the work of junior accountants
  • Assist with process improvements and special projects
