Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5+ years of public accounting experience supporting U.S.-based clients
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, tax regulations, audit procedures, and financial reporting standards
- Experience with Public Taxes and Audit Procedures
- Experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software such as QuickBooks, CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar platforms
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Availability to work within or overlap significantly with EST business hours
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, trusts, and non-profit organizations
- Plan, execute, and document audit, review, and compilation engagements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and GAAS standards
- Prepare financial statements, workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Conduct tax and accounting research on complex issues
- Support CFO advisory engagements including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, KPI reporting, and month-end/year-end close processes
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Mentor and review the work of junior accountants
- Assist with process improvements and special projects
