Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory leadership roles within international organizations.
  • Strong background in AML/KYC, financial compliance, and global regulatory frameworks.
  • Deep expertise in data privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA, and other international standards.
  • Proven experience managing compliance across multiple jurisdictions and complex legal environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale compliance functions in high-growth or global organizations.
  • Exceptional executive presence with experience reporting to Boards and C-level leadership.
  • Strong analytical, risk management, and decision-making capabilities in high-stakes environments.
  • JD or Master’s in Law, Compliance, or related field preferred; CAMS, CCEP, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and ability to operate in confidential and sensitive contexts.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and lead a global compliance program covering multiple jurisdictions, including financial regulation, data privacy, and commercial operations.
  • Oversee AML/KYC frameworks to ensure compliant onboarding of clients, investors, and partners during high-value transactions and capital activities.
  • Develop and enforce global data privacy and cybersecurity policies aligned with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable international regulations.
  • Establish and lead an internal audit and risk management function, ensuring ongoing monitoring, reporting, and governance transparency.
  • Define and implement corporate ethics policies, including Code of Conduct, anti-bribery (FCPA), and global compliance training programs.
  • Advise executive leadership and the Board on regulatory risks, compliance posture, and strategic governance decisions.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of evolving global regulations and proactively adapt compliance frameworks accordingly.
  • Build and scale a high-performing compliance organization capable of supporting international growth.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, integrity, and ethical decision-making across the organization.
  • Act as the primary compliance authority across all business units and geographies.
