Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in conservation, finance, business, policy, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in project management, conservation finance, or strategic program delivery
  • Experience working on complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives in unstructured or global environments
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate legal, financial, and institutional frameworks
  • Experience researching and synthesizing complex information into clear recommendations and reports
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and presenting technical and strategic content
  • Familiarity with Conservation Trust Funds or similar conservation finance mechanisms is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cultures, time zones, and functional teams
  • Passion for environmental conservation and mission-driven work

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the planning, development, and operationalization of Conservation Trust Funds (CTFs) across multiple countries
  • Manage complex, cross-functional conservation finance projects in collaboration with global and country-level teams
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement processes and support negotiations with partners, governments, and financial institutions
  • Analyze legal, institutional, and financial frameworks to inform CTF design and implementation strategies
  • Co-develop governance documents, technical materials, and implementation tools for conservation finance initiatives
  • Support Project Finance for Permanence and Nature Bonds initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic conservation goals
  • Provide technical assistance to strengthen CTF operations and build long-term institutional capacity
  • Deliver training and capacity-building programs for internal teams and external partners
  • Represent the organization in strategic meetings, workshops, and negotiations related to conservation finance
  • Monitor project progress, solve implementation challenges, and ensure delivery of key milestones
