Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience with the ability to deliver production-ready systems.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems principles, including failure modes and scalability.
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Focus on reliability and observability.
- Proven ability to own systems end-to-end, including monitoring and deployment.
- Confidence contributing to architecture discussions.
- Comfortable working in remote-first, high-autonomy environments.
Responsibilities
- Own backend features end-to-end, from scoping and design through implementation, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Design and build scalable orchestration services that handle high-volume payment flows.
- Develop and evolve routing logic, fallback mechanisms, and workflow systems.
- Participate in architecture discussions and propose system design improvements.
- Monitor production systems and take ownership of incident response and resolution.
- Collaborate with engineers on code reviews and technical decision-making.
