Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience.
- Ability to independently deliver production-ready software.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems principles (failure modes, scalability, reliability).
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs.
- Experience with backend services in modern cloud-based environments.
- Proven ability to own features end-to-end including monitoring and post-release support.
- Confidence in participating in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
- Comfort working in remote-first environments with autonomy and ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of backend features across the full lifecycle, from design and development through deployment and production monitoring.
- Design and build scalable backend services with focus on reliability, performance, and fault tolerance in a distributed systems environment.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and propose system improvements.
- Advocate for maintainable service design, clear contracts, and engineering best practices.
- Monitor production systems, identify issues, and support incident resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on scoping, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Produce clean, testable, production-ready code.
