Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of sales or technical experience within the fire protection, fire sprinkler, life safety, or closely related industry.
- Proven ability to manage large territories independently while maintaining strong account relationships and achieving sales targets.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to 75% of the time, throughout the assigned region.
- Strong understanding of technical products and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs), end users, and other industry stakeholders.
- Experience using CRM platforms, Salesforce, Microsoft Office applications, and other business software tools.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, business acumen, problem-solving abilities, and time management skills.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and residence within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory sales strategy to achieve revenue targets, key performance indicators, and long-term growth objectives.
- Manage and grow relationships with distributors, OEM partners, engineering firms, contractors, and end users across the assigned region.
- Conduct market analysis to identify customer needs, competitive trends, and new business opportunities.
- Drive adoption of new products through customer engagement, training initiatives, and technical sales support.
- Deliver persuasive presentations and product demonstrations to influence specifications, purchasing decisions, and product preference.
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings to enhance visibility and generate business opportunities.
- Monitor territory performance, develop corrective action plans when necessary, and maintain accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Manage travel, entertainment, and territory-related expenses responsibly while maintaining high levels of customer engagement.
