Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • 3+ years of experience dedicated to the ServiceNow platform.
  • Proven experience in the federal contracting space (DoD, DHS, or Civilian agencies).
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Deep knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM and at least one other major workflow (ITOM, HRSD, SPM, ITAM, etc.).
  • Strong experience with Jira, ServiceNow Agile, or Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in Visio, LucidChart, or similar process mapping tools.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).

Responsibilities

  • Lead client workshops and focus groups to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Conduct gap analysis between legacy processes and ServiceNow OOTB functionality.
  • Collaborate with the Agile Coach to design and document new Agile processes and SOPs.
  • Review user stories for accuracy and readiness for sprint planning.
  • Mentor junior developers and analysts on business context and ServiceNow best practices.
  • Conduct peer reviews of functional designs and test scripts.
  • Develop process maps, workflows, and data models.
  • Advise government stakeholders on ServiceNow best practices to minimize technical debt.
  • Ensure solution designs adhere to federal IT standards such as Section 508 and FISMA/NIST.
