Requirements
- Minimum of 4+ years of industry experience in software engineering.
- Fluency in at least one major programming language with the ability to switch between multiple frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in writing high quality, maintainable, testable, and performant code.
- Experience working on developer infrastructure, developer experience roles, or related open source contributions.
- Ability to break down complex problems and understand technical tradeoffs.
- Demonstrated history of making improvements to developer ecosystems.
Responsibilities
- Own key infrastructure components including build systems, CI/CD, test infra, observability, and dev/test environments.
- Optimize performance and usability of developer workflows from pipeline to production.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to identify pain points and build scalable solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge technologies relevant to the Thumbtack engineering ecosystem.
- Drive engineering projects to completion with a focus on developer impact and urgency.
- Solve technical challenges involving front-end, back-end, or infrastructure systems.
