Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare data management, data engineering, or analytics.
- Direct experience in a payer or managed-care organization.
- Strong understanding of health plan operations and data (claims, encounters, authorizations, member, provider, clinical).
- Proven leadership experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure cloud data platforms.
- Experience operating in highly regulated healthcare environments (HIPAA, CMS, state Medicaid).
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders.
- Experience with healthcare data standards (EDI, FHIR, HL7) preferred.
- Experience enabling AI/ML initiatives in healthcare preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery and management of core payer data domains like claims, encounters, authorizations, clinical, and member data.
- Drive Databricks lakehouse strategy including ingestion, transformation, and ML enablement.
- Lead modernization from legacy data warehouses to cloud-native platforms.
- Enable AI and ML-ready data foundations, feature stores, and data products.
- Oversee enterprise data integration patterns and secure data exchange.
- Lead cloud and data platform financial management (FinOps) and cost optimization.
- Partner with stakeholders to manage roadmaps, priorities, and delivery commitments.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, CMS, and state Medicaid regulatory requirements.
- Build, lead, and mentor data engineering and integration teams.
