Requirements
- 5 to 8 or more years of product design experience.
- Strong focus on interaction design, systems design, or immersive environments.
- Experience designing interactive systems, game mechanics, or spatial interfaces.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and defining structure.
- Ability to simplify complexity without sacrificing capability or clarity.
- Comfortable working in Figma.
- Think in flows and systems.
- Familiar with Unity, our SDKs, Blender, or other dev tools.
- Proactive collaborator.
- Care about empowering users and shared experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design for core props workflows.
- Define player-facing interactions for new content types, such as companions, environmental objects, and interactive items.
- Define interaction models, affordances, and behavioral systems that make props intuitive and engaging in immersive social contexts.
- Explore and establish new UX patterns for spatial and presence-based interaction, including how players discover, use, and share props in-world.
- Translate technical concepts into approachable UX through thoughtful flows, clear visual hierarchy, and user-friendly microcopy.
- Partner closely with engineers to ensure interactions feel responsive, performant, and grounded in technical reality.
- Collaborate with product and design leadership to influence the long-term direction of content interaction systems.
- Run lightweight usability testing (concept checks, prototype tests) to validate designs early, identify friction, and iterate quickly.
- Use prototyping and in-world testing to validate interaction concepts and refine usability in real contexts.
