Requirements
- 5+ years of system administration experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Linux (RedHat/Alma) and Windows Server.
- Experience with VMWare ESXi virtualization.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, basic IT security principles, and ITIL processes.
- Experience with database systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL) and query languages (SQL).
- Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, or PowerCLI.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and orchestration tools (Puppet).
- Must be fluent in English (speak, read, write).
- Available to travel approximately 2-4 weeks per year.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure and virtualize server hardware and operating systems.
- Develop deployment scripts and manifests for consistent platform deployment.
- Pro-actively monitor system performance and deploy updates/patches.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Implement and maintain backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
- Configure and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Conduct security audits and enforce security policies.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Collaborate with internal and customer IT staff to support initiatives.
