Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, and distributed systems.
- 3+ years of direct people management, including managing managers or multiple squads.
- Experience building scalable B2B SaaS or consumer-facing web applications.
- Architectural expertise in AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipeline optimization.
- Strong proficiency in relational database architecture.
- Ability to build high-trust relationships and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of 10+ software engineers and engineering managers.
- Guide the technical vision for core B2B and consumer-facing platforms.
- Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle for your domain.
- Partner with Product Management, Pharmacy Operations, Design, and QA.
- Ensure engineering practices adhere to HIPAA and SOC2 regulations.
- Establish and track key engineering metrics such as DORA metrics.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for system outages or security incidents.
- Manage departmental budgets, vendor relationships, and cloud infrastructure costs.
