Requirements
- +5 years of hands-on experience operating production infrastructure on AWS.
- Demonstrated experience scaling infrastructure and operations through organizational growth.
- Deep, practical Kubernetes experience, ideally EKS.
- Strong production experience with RDS/Aurora Postgres.
- Solid command of CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
- Fluency with infrastructure as code, especially Terraform.
- Practical familiarity with OWASP Top 10, secure pipeline practices, and IAM.
- Hands-on experience supporting SOC 2 or comparable compliance frameworks.
- Experience operating cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or open table formats like Iceberg.
- Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting ability (Bash plus Go or Python).
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve our CI/CD pipelines, leading the in-flight migration from GitLab CI to GitHub Actions.
- Operate and harden our EKS clusters: upgrades, networking, autoscaling, and security.
- Help own our RDS/Aurora Postgres fleet including performance tuning, replication, and backups.
- Operate our Kafka platform and Debezium-based CDC pipelines.
- Provision and operate our data lake (Apache Iceberg, S3, Snowflake, dbt) including access governance and cost controls.
- Support analytics-engineering workflows on dbt.
- Own and extend our infrastructure-as-code in Terraform.
- Build security into the platform: secrets management, IAM, network segmentation, and scanning.
- Contribute to and help mature our SOC 2 posture from the infrastructure side.
- Operate observability including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.
