Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in government or PSU sales and business development.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes, tendering systems, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience working with system integrators, OEMs, and channel partners in enterprise or public sector deals.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, surveillance, data centers, or managed services is preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex accounts and long sales cycles independently.
  • Existing relationships within government departments or PSUs will be a strong advantage.
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business development initiatives targeting Government, PSU, defense, railways, and smart city accounts.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities within public sector organizations and related ecosystems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, system integrators, OEMs, and channel partners.
  • Develop strategic account plans and execute market penetration strategies to expand footprint in government sectors.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle including lead generation, proposal development, tender participation, negotiations, and closure.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as presales, technical, and delivery units to design solutions and prepare bid responses.
  • Track government tenders across platforms like GeM, CPPP, and other procurement portals.
  • Ensure compliance with government procurement guidelines and tender requirements throughout the sales process.
  • Achieve revenue targets and manage forecasting, reporting, and payment follow-ups.
