Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of experience in packaging production design, ideally in CPG, beauty, or fragrance industries
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for production workflows
- Strong understanding of typography, layout systems, and print hierarchy applied to packaging
- Solid knowledge of prepress and print production, including CMYK, Pantone, foils, varnishes, and dielines
- Ability to work with technical packaging constraints and ensure production feasibility
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and file management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced remote environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional and vendor teams
Responsibilities
- Build accurate mechanical and production-ready packaging files based on approved creative directions and dielines
- Prepare vendor-ready artwork, including correct color systems (CMYK/Pantone), separations, trapping, and print-specific layers (varnish, foil, white ink)
- Create and adapt packaging designs for SKUs, line extensions, and size variations while maintaining brand consistency
- Design commercially viable packaging concepts for product lines, ensuring scalability across retail environments
- Preflight, review, and quality-check all files to ensure compliance with print and production specifications
- Manage revisions, version control, and feedback cycles to minimize errors and production issues
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical and manufacturability challenges
- Maintain organized asset libraries, naming conventions, dieline repositories, and production documentation
- Ensure compliance with retailer and regulatory labeling requirements, including barcode and claims placement
