Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years leading or managing teams
- Experience building or operating observability platforms at scale
- Technical expertise across logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting
- Proficiency with Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, ClickHouse, or OpenTelemetry
- Strong understanding of observability stack trade-offs
- Ability to treat observability as a product
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the observability strategy for Supabase
- Evaluate and evolve the observability stack architecture
- Drive internal convergence toward a single-pane-of-glass platform
- Establish SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
- Own customer-facing observability features and dashboards
- Build and lead a world-class observability engineering team
- Collaborate on instrumentation using OpenTelemetry standards
- Scale high-throughput data pipelines for telemetry
