- At least 3 years
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Medical Billing and Collections.
- Knowledge of medical billing codes (CPT, HCPCS, claims modifiers, ICD-10).
- Familiarity with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Practice Management Systems (PMS).
- Understanding of various insurance coverages (Health, Workers' Comp, Auto).
- Ability to read and interpret EOBs.
- Experience coordinating with insurance companies.
- Strong adaptability and ability to learn quickly.
- Proven efficiency and punctuality.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze explanation of benefits (EOB), Remittance Advice, and Denials from Payers.
- Prepare and analyze aging reports.
- Resolve and collect account receivables using payer portals and outbound calls.
- Update claim corrections and upload documents to clearinghouse portals.
- Identify underpayments and prepare documents for appeals.
- Create batches and post-received payments.
- Code claims using CPT and ICD-10 codes.
- Post charges to create claims and submit to clearinghouses.
- Contact patients, providers, and payers regarding eligibility, pre-cert, or claims follow-up.
