Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA engineering.
- Proficiency in test strategy and planning for data services.
- Experience with AVRO contract testing and schema registries.
- Experience testing API-to-Kafka pipelines.
- Automation skills with pytest or Jest.
- Experience with test fixtures for DynamoDB and Kafka.
- Knowledge of performance and soak testing for batch workloads.
- Understanding of idempotency testing.
Responsibilities
- Develop multi-layered testing strategies (unit, integration, contract, acceptance).
- Draft acceptance criteria for batch/ETL processes.
- Validate message schemas with Schema Registry.
- Test API-to-Kafka pipelines including mock/sandbox setups.
- Create automated tests for CI/CD integration.
- Ensure data accuracy from API response to Snowflake destination.
- Coordinate UAT, manage defect triage, and facilitate sign-offs.
