Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant high voltage substation physical design experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation.
- Experience with CDEGS and WinIGS.
- Knowledge of construction practices and constructability.
- Experience with proposal writing and project estimating.
- Working knowledge of scheduling and project controls processes.
- 2-3 years of overseeing and managing a project team.
- Strong familiarity with NEC and NESC.
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical advisor for the team.
- Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for substation scopes.
- Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work.
- Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Develop estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepare technical specification sections.
- Identify client interests and communicate to team members.
- Remove impediments obstructing the team.
- Attend client technical review meetings.
