Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering.
- 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency.
- Active Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure.
- Experience with PLS-CADD, MFAD, and AutoCAD.
- 5+ years of experience in Power Transmission Design.
- Ability to supervise a project team of Engineers & Engineering Technicians.
- Advanced knowledge of overhead & underground Transmission facilities.
- Understanding of NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and other industry-relevant standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project).
Responsibilities
- Lead technical staff in the preparation of utility engineering designs, cost estimates, and customer billing.
- Manage the engineering aspects of multiple projects ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV.
- Develop project schedules and define technical staff requirements for projects and daily work.
- Assist in the development of technical staff through mentoring, instruction of principles, and governing codes.
- Instruct technical staff in the use of systems, software, tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
- Manage and provide guidance for professional communication with stakeholders.
- Coordinate internal and external design reviews prior to submissions.
- Collaborate with department managers to develop and implement best engineering practices.
- Collaborate with other departments on company-wide initiatives.
- Maintain client relationships and seek potential future opportunities.
