Requirements
- 5-7+ years building backend systems
- Experience designing and shipping production APIs handling complex business logic
- End-to-end service stewardship in production environments
- Proficiency in Go or Python
- Experience building RESTful APIs
- Experience with data-intensive systems (PostgreSQL, BigQuery)
- Understanding of query optimization and connection pooling
- Cloud-native development experience (GCP preferred)
- Experience with containerization, monitoring, and incident response
Responsibilities
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints that serve financial data
- Build service integration layer between backend services and the data platform
- Shape architectural decisions for the API and service delivery infrastructure
- Collaborate with Data Engineers on data contracts and SLAs
- Partner with Product teams to design APIs for self-service access
- Champion API design best practices and service reliability standards
- Contribute to technical roadmap planning
