Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in educational leadership, literacy instruction, or a related field.
- Experience with system-level or school leadership.
- Deep knowledge of early reading and language development.
- Experience with Tier 1 high-quality instructional materials.
- Proficiency in evidence-based strategies for multilingual learners and students with disabilities.
- Proficiency in analyzing student work and school-level disaggregated data.
- Advanced understanding of school leadership levers, educational structures, and change management.
- Proven ability to build rapport and provide high-stakes coaching to diverse leaders.
- Ability to apply educational research to design and improve large-scale literacy initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Supports schools and systems in building and maintaining a strong elementary reading system.
- Leads comprehensive system and school reviews to identify strengths and areas for growth.
- Highlights trends in strengths and opportunities across districts to foster collaborative problem-solving.
- Drives the execution of action plans by tracking progress toward goals.
- Serves as the primary contact for partners to provide guidance on literacy and change management.
- Builds relationships with school and system leaders, providing high-stakes coaching.
- Conducts structured school walkthroughs to observe and assess classroom instruction.
- Customizes literacy program materials to align with distinct district and school contexts.
- Manages partner contracts and deliverables to achieve district- and school-level goals.
- Evaluates design resources and contributes to research and evaluation study implementation.
