Requirements
- Strong budgeting skills and experience leading competitive cost proposals.
- Exceptional writing skills with experience in writing winning proposals.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and systems thinking skills.
- Strong relationship management abilities.
- Familiarity with institutional donors including USG, FCDO, Global Fund, EU, UN, and foundations.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Windows, MS Office, information systems, and AI tools.
- Fluency in English.
- Willingness to travel up to 35%.
Responsibilities
- Develop and ensure regional resource mobilization strategies align with agency goals.
- Collaborate with regional leadership and country staff to develop donor engagement strategies.
- Act as proposal coordinator, lead writer, or budget lead for priority funding bids.
- Research and analyze intelligence on funding trends and new business opportunities.
- Maintain regional business pipeline and performance data in online systems.
- Represent the organization at regional/global industry conferences.
- Serve as Go/No-Go manager for funding opportunities.
- Lead proposal review panels and provide consolidated feedback.
- Facilitate partner identification and negotiation of consortia roles.
- Build capacity of staff in business development and promote best practices.
