Requirements

  • 10+ years of corporate legal practice.
  • Experience as an in-house attorney or General Counsel.
  • 3+ years of law firm training.
  • J.D. from a nationally accredited law school.
  • Active state bar membership.
  • Expertise in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DFARS.
  • Knowledge of export control compliance (ITAR, EAR).
  • Understanding of government and public sector procurement codes.
  • Ability to navigate bid protests and government contract disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on prime and subcontracting relationships and negotiate government contracts.
  • Navigate complex procurement regulations including FAR and DFARS.
  • Support contractors in audits, investigations, and False Claims Act (FCA) matters.
  • Manage compliance with labor obligations like SCA and Davis-Bacon Act.
  • Counsel on cost/pricing rules and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Provide guidance on cybersecurity requirements such as NIST SP 800-171.
  • Represent contractors in bid protests, contract disputes, and claims.
  • Provide strategic counsel on M&A involving government contracts.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop internal controls and risk policies.
