Requirements
- 10+ years of corporate legal practice.
- Experience as an in-house attorney or General Counsel.
- 3+ years of law firm training.
- J.D. from a nationally accredited law school.
- Active state bar membership.
- Expertise in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DFARS.
- Knowledge of export control compliance (ITAR, EAR).
- Understanding of government and public sector procurement codes.
- Ability to navigate bid protests and government contract disputes.
Responsibilities
- Advise on prime and subcontracting relationships and negotiate government contracts.
- Navigate complex procurement regulations including FAR and DFARS.
- Support contractors in audits, investigations, and False Claims Act (FCA) matters.
- Manage compliance with labor obligations like SCA and Davis-Bacon Act.
- Counsel on cost/pricing rules and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Provide guidance on cybersecurity requirements such as NIST SP 800-171.
- Represent contractors in bid protests, contract disputes, and claims.
- Provide strategic counsel on M&A involving government contracts.
- Collaborate with business leaders to develop internal controls and risk policies.
