Requirements
- Completion of at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in accounting within an accounting firm.
- Strong technical accounting skills, including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and P&L analysis.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and producing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Analytical skills to detect inaccuracies and investigate account discrepancies.
- Problem-solving abilities to optimize accounting systems.
- Knowledge of intercompany reconciliation and transaction management.
- Experience in financial consolidation processes.
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage a client portfolio from bookkeeping to year-end closing, including bank reconciliation, closing journal entries, P&L analysis, and supporting schedules.
- Create timely and accurate accounting reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
- Detect inaccuracies and investigate account discrepancies.
- Propose recommendations to optimize accounting systems and procedures.
- Manage intercompany reconciliation and participate in the consolidation process.
- Supervise team members in coordinating daily and weekly tasks.
- Train and develop team members to enhance skills and performance.
- Recommend personnel management decisions for team members.
- Identify opportunities for automation and improved efficiency in client processes.
- Lead small projects to implement new tools and methodologies.
