Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, or compliance.
- At least 5 years in a leadership or consulting role.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Deep knowledge of global privacy regulations (GDPR, CPRA, VCDPA, CTCPA, HIPAA, GLBA, etc.).
- Extensive experience delivering privacy program assessments and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with privacy technology platforms (especially OneTrust).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business, Legal, or related field.
- IAPP Certifications required (CIPP/US or CIPP/E).
- CIPM or CIPT certification a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of complex privacy consulting engagements from end to end.
- Manage and mentor a team of consultants and senior consultants.
- Cultivate a strong, values-driven team culture.
- Serve as a cultural ambassador at Zaviant.
- Collaborate with leadership to shape team norms and resource planning.
- Guide client privacy initiatives across frameworks like GDPR, CPRA, HIPAA, GLBA.
- Lead privacy program design, maturity assessments, and remediation planning.
- Support privacy tech enablement, especially using OneTrust.
- Conduct and oversee DPIAs, data mapping, and policy development.
- Partner with business development to support proposals and client relationships.
