Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or operational finance roles, ideally within healthcare or insurance environments.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, general ledger management, and month-end close processes.
  • Experience with accounts receivable, billing, and cash application functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently while leading and supporting a team.
  • Experience handling sensitive financial and insurance-related data is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage and mentor accounting team members while maintaining strong operational performance and adherence to deadlines.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including P&L reports, to support business decision-making and profitability improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulatory standards, and internal financial controls across all reporting activities.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings through detailed financial analysis and general ledger review.
  • Manage relationships with external financial partners, including banks, auditors, and CPA firms.
  • Support financial forecasting, budgeting, and modeling to guide strategic planning and operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
  • Oversee accounts receivable, billing, cash applications, and related financial operations as needed.
