Requirements
- 7+ years building, deploying, and supporting hospital based HL7v2 interfaces at scale.
- Expert-level understanding of EHR-specific message structure, triggers, acknowledgements, and error handling.
- Advanced interface engine architecture and operations experience.
- Exceptional executive communication skills.
- Proven expertise in scalable database extraction architecture.
- Significant experience enabling FHIR R4 APIs and SMART on FHIR workflows.
- Hands-on experience in JavaScript or Python for transformation or automation.
- SQL fluency for validation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with data transfer security practices like TLS, HTTPS, and VPN.
Responsibilities
- Lead the integration design, development, and validation of robust, scalable interfaces between SmarterDx and hospital/health system customer EHRs.
- Serve as the technical expert on customer engagements, guiding architecture discussions with CIOs and technical teams.
- Own integrations end to end, including specification development, mapping, configuration, testing strategy, and go live planning.
- Lead data validation and reconciliation to ensure integrity and interoperability compliance.
- Design for reliability and observability with monitoring, alerting, and operational runbooks.
- Lead structured incident response and root cause analysis for complex production issues.
- Improve integration operations through automation tools to increase throughput.
- Influence product and platform strategy by advising engineering on schemas and data contracts.
