Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or product analytics.
- Hands-on experience building a data warehouse or reporting database from scratch.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and extensive experience with BigQuery.
- Proven ability to build, manage, and scale ETL or ELT pipelines.
- Deep understanding of event-based analytics and GA4 to BigQuery exports.
- Expertise in data modeling for analytics and creating reporting-ready datasets.
- Experience with APIs, webhooks, or scheduled data syncs.
- Exceptional documentation, data governance, and data QA habits.
- Experience with Looker Studio or other white-label reporting platforms.
- Familiarity with Python, Zapier, or Google Cloud Functions is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the reporting data architecture, structuring BigQuery datasets, tables, and views.
- Build and manage ingestion pipelines from multiple disparate data sources using APIs, webhooks, and ETL/ELT tools.
- Set up and manage data exports from GA4 to BigQuery.
- Integrate diverse data streams including Google Tag Manager, CMS, marketing tools, and POS systems.
- Create clean SQL models to transform raw behavioral data into reporting-ready tables.
- Prepare foundational data models for BI platforms like Looker Studio.
- Establish data quality assurance processes and monitor pipeline reliability.
- Maintain clear documentation for schemas, data flows, and reporting logic.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to support tracking and data privacy.
