Requirements
- Experience owning high-stakes, commercially critical product areas end-to-end.
- Hands-on experience in payments, billing, or comparable fintech at scale.
- Deep understanding of subscription economics, churn mechanics, and dunning strategy.
- Experience working on high-volume, buyer-facing products.
- Technically credible with the ability to reason about billing systems and APIs.
- Data-fluent and metrics-led; ability to perform end-to-end data analysis.
- Experience using AI as a force multiplier for research, writing, and prototyping.
- Experience building and shipping in scale-up or startup environments.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex trade-offs across cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own the long-term vision and strategy for retention, grounded in subscriber behaviour, merchant feedback, and commercial goals.
- Make tough prioritisation calls across subscription management, churn prevention, and merchant customisation.
- Lead product strategy for dunning, payment recovery, and proactive retention interventions.
- Define and deliver a customisation layer for branding, language, and flow configuration.
- Own KPIs such as retention rate, involuntary churn, and offer conversion.
- Conduct independent data analysis to form hypotheses and recommendations.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives from discovery to launch.
- Align senior stakeholders including Exco and Sales leadership around retention strategy.
