Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in any jurisdiction and eligible to practice as in-house counsel in Texas.
- 5-7 years of experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
- In-house legal experience.
- Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles.
- Experience managing litigation and outside counsel.
- Experience negotiating disputes and settlements.
- Strong business judgment and financial risk assessment skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including SAAS, vendor, service, data, and NDAs.
- Execute process improvements for contract flows from sales to operations.
- Identify risks and rewards of supply chain products and services.
- Conduct legal research to support negotiations and resolve legal issues.
- Partner with product development for new product sales agreements.
- Manage and execute processes for resolving basic contract disputes and unpaid fees.
- Establish litigation strategy and manage outside counsel.
- Assist in developing and implementing compliance programs.
- Provide general legal support for HR, privacy, and employment law matters.
