Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or NHA) with current certificate.
- Active pharmacy technician registration with State Board of Pharmacy.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Prior experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Proficiency in computer software and technology.
- Thorough drug knowledge and pharmacy billing knowledge.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service in a phone-based environment.
- Answer high volume of inbound calls and resolve patient questions.
- Perform outbound calls to create and maintain medication profiles.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and medical professionals.
- Conduct claim adjudication, prior authorizations, and billing.
- Collect patient balances when applicable.
- Enter prescription data with speed and accuracy.
- Support onboarding for new patients.
