Requirements

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or NHA) with current certificate.
  • Active pharmacy technician registration with State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Proficiency in computer software and technology.
  • Thorough drug knowledge and pharmacy billing knowledge.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service in a phone-based environment.
  • Answer high volume of inbound calls and resolve patient questions.
  • Perform outbound calls to create and maintain medication profiles.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and medical professionals.
  • Conduct claim adjudication, prior authorizations, and billing.
  • Collect patient balances when applicable.
  • Enter prescription data with speed and accuracy.
  • Support onboarding for new patients.
