Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design for building systems
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for MEP design
- Proficiency in Revit for MEP design
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Strong knowledge of building codes and ASHRAE standards
- Experience managing projects through design and construction phases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and serve as project manager for building systems projects
- Develop and review construction documents, technical specifications, and cost estimates
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budgets
- Serve as the primary point of contact for select projects
- Coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary design teams
- Oversee construction administration activities
- Lead and participate in internal and external project meetings
- Support proposal development and project planning
- Mentor junior engineers
