Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in billing reclamation or related role.
- Minimum 12 months of relevant collections/receivable experience.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and healthcare reimbursement.
- Demonstrated expertise in Coordination of Benefits (COB), Third Party Liability (TPL), and MSP.
- Ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents.
- Solid understanding of HIPAA standards and data privacy.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass a pre-hire criminal background check and drug test.
- Completion of and adherence to the Machinify Teleworker Agreement.
- Proficiency with standard office technology and computer applications.
Responsibilities
- Leverage expertise in COB/TPL/Recovery to determine proper order of benefits and resolve primacy issues.
- Solve data or record discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with carriers to determine primacy and resolve payment issues.
- Educate healthcare insurance carriers on Coordination of Benefits rules.
- Analyze and interpret explanation of benefits (EOBs).
- Support internal teams with claims billing and denial management processes.
- Work through assigned inventories to meet productivity metrics.
- Update company systems with accurate account information and notes.
- Follow company, departmental, and HIPAA policies and procedures.
