Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in HR or related fields is a plus.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in employee benefits administration, preferably within a healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of employee benefits regulations including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite, with strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Experience working with HRIS or benefits administration systems (Workday preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage urgent inquiries, escalations, and high-pressure situations with professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer service mindset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain employee benefits programs, ensuring accurate enrollment, changes, and termination processing in HR systems.
- Support compliance with key regulations such as ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA, ensuring benefits processes align with legal requirements.
- Assist in annual benefits planning activities, including open enrollment preparation, system testing, and employee communication support.
- Analyze benefits data and produce recurring reports on utilization, costs, and key program metrics to support decision-making.
- Respond to escalated employee inquiries regarding benefits coverage, policies, and procedures, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve benefits discrepancies, improve processes, and support system or operational enhancements.
- Maintain and improve benefits documentation, resources, and educational materials to support employee understanding and engagement.
