Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
2+ years of relevant legal experience in a technology company or law firm.
Experience negotiating SaaS, data licensing, and enterprise commercial agreements.
Strong business judgment and ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
Clear communication skills to translate legal concepts into business guidance.
Knowledge of data privacy, information security, and compliance in SaaS.
Familiarity with AI-related legal considerations like IP and data rights.
Proficiency with contract management systems and AI-enabled legal tools.
Strong project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Independently review, draft, and negotiate a high volume of complex commercial agreements.
Partner with Sales and Revenue leadership to structure deals aligning with company risk tolerance.
Advise internal stakeholders on legal, financial, and operational risk in commercial transactions.
Provide guidance on privacy and data protection laws such as GDPR and CCPA/CPRA.
Support Security and Product teams with data protection and information security questionnaires.
Advise on legal considerations for AI-enabled products and internal AI usage.
Develop internal AI governance policies and risk assessment frameworks.
Improve legal templates, playbooks, and contract lifecycle management (CLM) processes.
