Requirements
- Registered USPTO Patent Agent.
- 4+ years of experience as a patent agent.
- Industry or academic background in medical devices and software.
- Technical knowledge in AI, machine learning, or related disciplines.
- Proven ability to draft and review utility and design patent applications.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Self-directed with experience managing an own docket.
Responsibilities
- Manage client patent portfolios and strategy development.
- Identify and capture inventive technologies.
- Draft comprehensive patent applications.
- Guide and execute patent prosecution.
- Manage dockets and IDS filings.
- Collaborate with client legal, business, and engineering teams.
- Optionally participate in networking and business development.
