Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE) or related field (Ph.D. preferred).
- 15+ years of relevant industry experience in RF hardware design.
- Strong knowledge of RF/mmWave hardware design, phased array antenna fundamentals, and FMCW radar principles.
- Expert proficiency in schematic, layout, and EM simulation flows (Cadence Allegro/Capture, Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS).
- Expertise in Tx/Rx specification flow-down, linearity, noise analysis, and IC/package co-design.
- Scripting experience in Python for test automation and hardware characterization.
- Hands-on experience with probe stations, spectrum analyzers, and anechoic chambers.
- Familiarity with module packaging technologies, SIPI simulation flows, and supporting international prototype builds through mass production.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end development of radar sensing architectures, including module-level, board-level, and flex designs up through mmWave operating frequencies.
- Work closely with hardware engineers, embedded systems engineers, software developers, product managers, key stakeholders, and our outsourced manufacturing partners to integrate complex radio platforms.
- Author schematics and drive layout optimizations for RF/mmWave modules using extensive EM simulations.
- Conduct design reviews and both design and process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA).
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship.
- Perform RF system lineup analyses to ensure designs meet industry standards.
- Architect characterization setups and drive debug activities in the lab and at production partner labs.
- Troubleshoot complex RF/mmWave design issues to ensure robust mass production builds.
