Requirements
- 3-5+ years in performance engineering for large-scale, low-latency distributed systems.
- Demonstrated success hitting strict SLAs under millions of users/RPS.
- Strong Python and test-automation skills.
- Experience designing realistic workload models and synthetic data generation.
- Experience with distributed load execution in cloud.
- Proficiency in Locust (Python) and JMeter.
- Infrastructure automation skills via Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Java service behaviors (JVM/GC, Maven/Gradle).
- Experience with observability tools like CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Responsibilities
- Own the performance test strategy & plan (load, stress, spike, soak, scalability, failover).
- Model traffic for ad-supported streaming.
- Build automated load frameworks & scripts (Locust/Python, JMeter).
- Orchestrate distributed load generation to simulate 4–5M concurrent users.
- Integrate with observability/APM to correlate system bottlenecks.
- Produce capacity models & SLAs/SLOs dashboards.
- Partner with DevOps & developers to recommend tuning.
- Document test design, scenarios, results, and clear remediation plans.
