Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of communications experience, specifically in the travel industry
- Established national travel and lifestyle media relationships
- BA or BS in public relations, journalism, communications or related fields
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in AP Style
- Experience coordinating media familiarization tours or desk side tours
- Excellent writing skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience integrating social media into public relations programs
- Proficiency using Cision, Muckrack, news wires, and MS applications
- Current passport and willingness to travel
Responsibilities
- Supports daily activities for designated national and international accounts
- Contributes 60 percent of time to proactive media relations and influencer programming
- Plans, implements and manages client media tours and in-destination media visits
- Executes both for-trade and paid influencer programs
- Writes client collateral including news releases, media alerts, pitches, and fact sheets
- Develops and maintains relationships with journalists and social media influencers
- Assists with preparation of meeting agendas, notes, reports, and account budgets
