Requirements
- BS, MS or PhD in computer science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in production services.
- Solid fundamentals in API design, data modeling, testing, and debugging.
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript, including Node.js or similar backend frameworks.
- Experience with modern development practices like containerization, CI/CD, and IaC.
- Track record of leading AI/ML projects end-to-end.
- Experience designing systems for reliability, cost, and scale in production.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale the agent runtime at Newfront including orchestration and SDKs.
- Design and own RAG and document understanding pipelines for complex insurance artifacts.
- Build the connector framework for systems like AMS, email, and internal services.
- Establish the evaluation and observability backbone for AI at Newfront.
- Own model routing and the model gateway for frontier and on-premise models.
- Stand up and operate on-premise model hosting including GPU capacity planning.
- Ship AI product features end-to-end from discovery to deployment.
- Mentor engineers and establish best practices for reliable AI in financial services.
- Partner with security, privacy, and compliance for AI governance and controls.
