Requirements
- Managed an engineering team of at least 2 people.
- Extensive experience with Backend (Elixir/Phoenix or Ruby or functional programming).
- Strong engineering fundamentals and a track record of shipping secure, reliable, and scalable production systems.
- Practical experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows.
- Ability to think in systems: define specs, break down plans, and instrument verification.
- Solid communication and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of engineering and development principles.
- Demonstrated automation and AI capabilities and fluency.
- Kind, people-first approach to team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Managing a small product team of 3-5 engineers (backend and frontend).
- Splitting time between management and active product development.
- Involvement in hiring and onboarding processes.
- Managing team dynamics and promoting a people-first approach.
- Providing continuous feedback, guidance, and coaching to direct reports.
- Responsibility for direct reports' career growth.
- Redesigning engineering workflows using autonomous agents.
- Operationalizing end-to-end agentic workflows (spec, plan, execute, verify).
- Building reusable agentic workflows and primitives in the codebase.
- Using verification loops to ensure code is correct, secure, and scalable.
