- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Active Workers’ Compensation adjuster license or state certification.
- Strong understanding of claims administration and litigation.
- Knowledge of cost containment strategies.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical and organizational problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and claims management software.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex Workers’ Compensation claims from initial intake through resolution.
- Investigate claims to determine validity and compliance.
- Establish reserves and authorize payments within authority levels.
- Develop strategic action plans to control claim costs.
- Collaborate with attorneys, case managers, and healthcare providers.
- Handle litigation, subrogation, and recovery processes.
- Communicate status updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Participate in claim reviews and support departmental goals.
