Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree in biology, environmental science or global equivalent.
- Ten (10) years of work-related experience or 14 years if non-degreed.
- Experience with regulatory permitting and environmental compliance in California.
- Knowledge of major environmental laws including CEQA, NEPA, Clean Water Act, and endangered species acts.
- Experience working on large, complex programs and projects.
- Exceptional analytical, verbal, and writing skills.
- High level of organizational ability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Responsibilities
- Provides management and oversight in the preparation of state and federal permit applications, review and analysis of NEPA and CEQA documents.
- Supports the strategic development, preparation, and acquisition of regulatory permits and approvals under the Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Acts.
- Reviews compliance documentation and reports.
- Supports the procurement of compensatory mitigation by evaluating requirements and managing contracts.
- Assists with construction-phase compliance including responding to noncompliance events and regulatory inquiries.
- Retrieves data and prepares reporting using proprietary database management applications.
