Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in billing, accounts payable/receivable, or financial operations.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting and billing systems, with Unanet experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for reporting, analysis, and financial tracking.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, expense management, and invoice lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with FAR, DCAA compliance, and government contracting accounting principles (preferred).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting teams with frequent travel and expense reporting processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely invoices aligned with federal contracts and regulatory requirements.
  • Review contract terms and funding details to ensure proper billing execution and compliance with established guidelines.
  • Monitor, review, and approve employee expense reports while ensuring adherence to company policies and federal regulations.
  • Audit expenses for accuracy, documentation quality, and compliance with travel and per diem rules.
  • Support AP/AR and payroll-related processes as needed, ensuring smooth financial operations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to resolve billing issues and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support audit readiness and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in preparing financial and compliance reports for internal stakeholders and management.
