Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of accounting managers and large operational teams.
  • Strong expertise in US GAAP, SOX compliance, internal controls, and financial governance practices.
  • Proven experience working within complex, multi-entity, or distributed business environments.
  • Background in shared services operations, centralized accounting models, or enterprise-scale process standardization initiatives.
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits in regulated environments.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft and reconciliation platforms such as BlackLine.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and change management skills.
  • Ability to drive operational excellence, manage competing priorities, and lead through organizational complexity.
  • Healthcare industry or large enterprise experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee a centralized accounting shared services organization supporting multiple healthcare practices and operational entities.
  • Develop and implement scalable accounting processes, operating standards, and governance frameworks to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Manage accounting operations including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting support.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX requirements, internal controls, and enterprise accounting policies.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and workflow optimization in partnership with finance systems and operational teams.
  • Partner with finance leadership, FP&A, internal audit, and external stakeholders to align accounting operations with business goals and growth strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting managers and team members while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support audit activities, risk mitigation efforts, and remediation plans to strengthen financial controls and operational integrity.
