Requirements
- Active CPA license in good standing.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in public accounting.
- Significant experience as a signing tax preparer.
- Proven track record of supervising, mentoring, and developing professionals.
- Strong working knowledge of tax compliance.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP financial reporting for small and midsize businesses.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-financial business owners.
Responsibilities
- Review and sign federal/state tax returns and monthly financial statements.
- Ensure technical accuracy and GAAP compliance across all client work.
- Oversee tax and accounting engagements for a diverse client portfolio.
- Directly supervise Managers, Seniors, and Staff.
- Provide coaching, performance management, and handle hiring and capacity planning.
- Monitor team utilization and realization to identify and fix workflow bottlenecks.
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point and manage risk.
