Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer in SaaS, fintech, or large-scale technology environments.
- Strong professional experience within financial domains such as payments, banking, accounting, exchanges, treasury, crypto, or financial compliance systems.
- Proven expertise in backend development, object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and scalable system architecture.
- Advanced SQL and PostgreSQL knowledge, including optimization, migrations, and complex database modeling.
- Experience building and maintaining APIs, authentication systems, and high-performance distributed applications.
- Familiarity with compliance-focused environments involving KYC, AML, transaction monitoring, audit systems, or regulatory reporting.
- Strong understanding of concurrency, scalability, queue-based systems, and high-availability infrastructure.
- Experience working with cloud-native or serverless environments, particularly AWS, is considered a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in remote, asynchronous teams.
- Strong ownership mindset, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to delivering customer-focused engineering solutions.
- Experience with payment gateways, reconciliation systems, FX operations, or ledger infrastructure is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that support global financial operations and high-volume transaction processing.
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, QA teams, and designers throughout the full software development lifecycle, from discovery to deployment.
- Build resilient systems optimized for concurrency, idempotency, scalability, and performance in fintech and compliance-sensitive environments.
- Develop and enhance financial infrastructure solutions related to payments, treasury operations, onboarding, settlements, and compliance workflows.
- Optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, query performance, migrations, and data modeling for enterprise-scale applications.
- Ensure platform reliability, security, and maintainability through clean architecture, testing, debugging, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to API scalability strategies using queue-based systems, authentication frameworks, and modern backend engineering practices.
- Support rapid product iteration by identifying and resolving technical issues efficiently while maintaining high-quality engineering standards.
- Participate in technical discussions, architectural decisions, and process improvements that enhance product performance and customer experience.
