Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a science, healthcare, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical research experience, including extensive project management and leadership responsibilities within a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech environment.
- Strong knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines, global clinical trial operations, and the clinical development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience leading global, cross-functional clinical programs with responsibility for financial oversight, risk management, and operational delivery.
- Proven people management experience with the ability to lead, coach, and inspire high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.
- Expertise in strategic planning, change management, client relationship management, and conflict resolution.
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executive stakeholders and sponsors.
- Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Project.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee global clinical project portfolios, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, quality standards, and strategic objectives across autoimmune and related therapeutic programs.
- Manage and mentor teams of Project Directors and Project Managers, supporting performance development, resource allocation, coaching, and operational excellence.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for study sponsors and internal stakeholders, driving effective communication, issue resolution, and client satisfaction throughout project lifecycles.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical operations, business development, finance, and executive leadership to support proposals, budgeting activities, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, oversee recovery strategies for at-risk studies, and ensure compliance with SOPs, GCP/ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring KPIs, optimizing workflows, strengthening governance processes, and implementing best practices across project management functions.
- Support strategic planning and operational decision-making for complex global studies, including resource forecasting, scope management, and portfolio oversight.
